Xmas Day – Haiku

Every year on Christmas day, if its not raining from the heavens I go for a two mile walk round the back roads, down to the beach and old pier and back again. These haiku are from five days ago.

christmas day morning
hardy swimmer flees cold sea;
an old tradition
christmas day morning
rooks enjoying the seaweed;
just another day
christmas day morning
meet others out for a stroll;
only recognise one

Haiku & Music Project

A couple of weeks ago, I was asked by Naviar Records if I would like to join in one of their projects where they invite musicians to compose music to go along to a Haiku.

My haiku was : the bracing east wind / cold as a Nordic summer / kicking up white sand.

I agreed and here is the link below for the 16 tracks that people composed.

Haiga -Dentist

Over the weekend I broke a tooth whilst munching on toasted Ciabatta bread. Luckily when I phoned the dentist on Monday morning they had an opening for eleven AM. The dentist is situated in a small complex in the centre of the village,surrounded by wild fields to the east and south,leading down to pier and beach.
