this morning's grey mist floats atop Burren mountains; charcoal silhouettes

in the soft drizzle he moistens rock hard stale bread; one clever magpie

Every year on Christmas day, if its not raining from the heavens I go for a two mile walk round the back roads, down to the beach and old pier and back again. These haiku are from five days ago.
christmas day morning hardy swimmer flees cold sea; an old tradition
christmas day morning rooks enjoying the seaweed; just another day
christmas day morning meet others out for a stroll; only recognise one

under old stone bridge brackish stream lays motionless; continue on walk

on cool kitchen tiles
cat lays down to sleep and dream ;
my second coffee

low clouds and high tide
pressing against each other;
rain sweeps through the gap
