Haiku – Around

lone seagull circling
around around and around;
motorway exit

sat in recliner
watching flames leap jump and spark;
crackling old timber

between two water towers;
an illusion

nips in between the bare trees;
shortening shadows

standing by the shore;
nothing and everything
passing through my mind

then sudden thunderous rain;
coffee shop or pub ?

sip an espresso
cafe is almost empty;
sat with memories

rose petals falling
form a carpet on patio;
bring out the yard brush

zip in off the Atlantic;
September is here !
