Haiku -Scarlet Skyline

Here are three Haiku from my book Scarlet Skyline

icy cold sea mist
cleaves to barren rocky shore;
ahead shifting shapes

round the twisting bend
past the old village marker;
dead fox lays by verge

open kitchen blinds
coffee ceremony starts;
grind beans, pour water . . .

donkey's big brown eyes
peer over the chipped stone wall;
waiting to turn right

the wolf moon bringing
stormy seas and angry waves;
inside car in awe

this morning's grey mist
floats atop Burren mountains;
charcoal silhouettes

in the soft drizzle
he moistens rock hard stale bread;
one clever magpie

looking to the west

sunset fading before me

closing the curtains

fine silken black clouds
shade the waxing crescent moon;
another red light
