Haiku – Waiting

sitting in my car
parked beneath old oak tree;
check my watch again

grey clouds eating up
remaining parts of blue sky;
turn on reading lamp

growing out from the hedgerow;
will they ripen ?

Coltrane on the radio;
kinda magical

a single poppy growing;
heading to library

yellow crescent moon
smiles down on village tonight;
slow sip of tequila

picking out weeds and pebbles;
bit like life really

round round the water tower;
bay is darkening

ritual of sorts
